This page covers the rotation and action usage when leveling Pictomancer toLevel 100. This page can also be used to help when doing roulettes withlevel scaling by using the slider to adjust the information to your desiredlevel.

While leveling, please make use of the highest item level gear you have available. The gearing and BiS page hasoptions for both level 80 and level 90 as you level, which should last you roughly until level 85 and level 95 respectively,but it is important to replace the gear as needed to make up for pieces you may be missing. You can spend Allagan Tomestone of Poeticsin Eulmore for level 80 gear, and Radz-at-Han for level 90 gear.

Although Pictomancer begins at level 80, older content can sync you down all the way to level 15. As such, this guide will begin withsub-level 30 rotations for both single target and AoE situations. Adjust accordingly depending on what level the duty you're currentlyplaying puts you at!

Level: 15

• Fire in Red → Aero in Green → Water in Blue.
• Use Smudge to move as needed, as well as slidecasting at the end of your casts, as usual.
• Creature Motif should be used as available to deal a high amount of damage. If you have the choice to use them for single target or AoE, use them for AoE, but do not hold them too long to lose a use to do so.
• Hammer Motif and Striking Muse should be used as soon as they're available once you hit these levels. Please keep in mind that you only have 30 seconds before the buff falls off once activating the skill, so be sure to use all three within this window.
• Cast Blizzard in Cyan → Stone in Yellow → Thunder in Magenta when Subtractive Palette is active and you have the time available to use the longer casts.
• Starry Muse should be used in your opener, then on cooldown afterwards. Try to put a usage of your Hammer combo, as well as two Living Muse uses and a Mog of the Ages in each window where possible. Hammer Motif is better used for movement where possible, but do not hold it long enough to lose uses.
• Holy in White should be used for movement at this level, though it is a gain over your usual at two more more targets, which the AoE section will cover. You can also replace Fire in Red and Aero in Green casts with these when using Starry Muse.
• Comet in Black can and should now be used at this level after using Subtractive Palette.
• Rainbow Drip should be prepared four seconds prior to pull to hit when the boss is pulled by your tank. You can also make use of Swiftcast to land a Rainbow Drip prior to the boss going untargetable.
• Claw Motif and Maw Motif are both unlocked at this level, as well as Retribution of the Madeen, which fills the same use case as Mog of the Ages. You also gain access to a third charge of Creature Motif. Use their corresponding muses, Clawed Muse and Fanged Muse when available, and when possible, try to fit Retribution of the Madeen inside of your Starry Muse windows.

• Fire II in Red → Aero in Green → Water in Blue should be used at three or more targets. At four or more targets, spam Fire II in Red.
• At less than three targets, use the rotation from the Single Target portion of this page.
• Be sure to prepare your Living Muse outside of combat and use them in AoE situations as often as you can. Even if you have to cast a Motif manually, these are still a gain to use, as is Mog of the Ages.
• Hammer Motif is a guaranteed direct critical hit on every enemy it hits, as is each of its steps. Use these skills in AoE whenever they're available.
• Follow Single Target priority until three targets, at which point you'll want to use Fire in Red → Aero in Green → Water II in Blue, unless your Subtractive combo is up. At four or more targets, use Fire II in Red → Aero II in Green → Water II in Blue.
• At three targets or more, use Blizzard II in Cyan → Stone II in Yellow → Thunder II in Magenta.
• Starry Muse should be used for AoE pulls in dungeons where possible beginning at this level. Use your normal AoE and Subtractive AoE priorities here.
• Once Living Muse charges have been used, use Holy in White at two of more targets. This is *always* a better optiuon than your Fire/Aero/Water AoE combos.
• Rainbow Drip can be used as the tank is consolodating add packs. In addition, use Comet in Black after using your available Muse charges if Subtractive Palette is able to be used.
• At four or more targets, Fire in Red → Aero in Green → Water II in Blue is now a gain, as well as your corresponding Subtractive combo. Continue to use Holy in White or Comet in Black on two or more targets as available.
• Use Star Prism after Starry Muse, then follow the previous priorities.

At level 10, you gain access to Tempera Coat, which is a shield for 20% of your max HP. If this shield is consumed, the cooldown is decreased by 30 seconds, from 90s to 60.At level 88, you gain the upgrade to this skill, Tempera Grassa, which allows you to change this shield into an AoE shield for 10% of each person's max HP. This cooldown is alsodecreased by 30s if fully consumed, from 120s to 90s. This is a very powerful utility, which should be used when large amounts of damage are going out. Use this liberally.

At level 20, you gain access to Smudge, which is a powerful movement ability with a 20s cooldown. This skill causes you to dash in the direction you're facing, and at level84, you gain a trait that adds a five second period of increased movement speed. Use this as necessary for movement, being careful not to overadjust into mechanics or off of platforms.

The level 100 capstone spell, Star Prism also has a 400 potency AoE heal attached to it. This heal is *not* worth moving the spell out of Starry Muse, butyou can move around the order of your buff window skills to use this after AoE damage goes out to help out your healers as necessary, provided this change won't cause you to drop any of your bustwindow skills out of buffs.
